Well what a year its been, in January I found out the very sad news that I had to retire from International Football due to classification changes. But after 5 major tournaments and captaining the team in 1 European Championships, 2 World Championships and a Paralympic games I am very proud of my achievements. Also a goal tally of 21 in 21 games isn't too bad either.
However, in February of this year the FA appointed me as the new U21 England CP coach and I was obviously so grateful for the fantastic opportunity and couldn't wait to get started.

After a few training camps working with the players and passing on some of my knowledge I knew this was something I was so passionate about. Therefore I really wanted to pass my UEFA B Licence coaching qualification as quickly as I could so I pursued this challenge with as much motivation as I did as a player on the pitch. I passed this in April :)
But the icing on the cake came when I went out to Holland In July with the U21 CP team to play two friendlies v our Dutch counterparts. We came away with two comprehensive wins and the feeling I had afterwards was a good as scoring the winner in the World Cup 1/4 final. So much to look forward to here.
