What a day! Easily one of the best days of my entire life to represent McDonalds - Better Play Programme as part of my role as Head Of Disability Football.
Pictured above with the other Football Ambassadors who as you can see are some of the biggest names in British Football History watching the Community Shield final between Arsenal and Chelsea. It was a brilliant game that ended with Arsenal winning on penalties.
However, far more important than any of this was the FA and McDonalds community awards where we handed out awards to the best volunteers up and down the country. For example, the club of the year, coach of the year, Mum of the year among others. I was given the honour of presenting the award for chartered development club of the year which went to CP United who with the backing of the Manchester FA have achieved amazing things. It was my first year doing this and I hope to continue in this role for many years to come :)
