JRSS HEADS TO DERBY

What a fantastic experience it was on Friday the 27th January 2017 working for Derby County SSP in the Royal School For The Deaf Derby. Being deaf in my right ear myself I know fully well how difficult it can be but the students at this school have adapted and compensated so well! I was truly inspired!

For the first time I delivered a motivational talk to deaf students but only because of the brilliant support of the signer, Sarah. It was great fun and in the picture you can see it was all smiles in the Q&A where one of the lovely pupils was taking centre stage and making everyone laugh. It was a very humbling morning and just shows that whatever barriers you may face in life you can still get your point across.
