It was an honour this year to be a finalist for the Disability sports performer of the year at the Gloucestershire sports awards. Last night the award went to the incredible Silver medal wheelchair fencing champ Piers Gilliver. But it was incredible to be linked with such great athletes and to retrieve the recognition from my home county.
