On Sunday March 5th I took on the Paris 1/2 Marathon to help raise money for one of the charities I work for, The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust who employ current or retired athletes to run personal and social development programmes to help engage, empower and enable young people to reach their potential. I managed to run the race in 1hr35min51sec in the pouring rain. It was 13 miles or 21.7km over there and it was easily the toughest thing I have had to do physically, I was exhausted and nearly passed out at the finish line but I didn't and I managed to raise nearly £500 in the process. A job well done I think!!
